Why e-bikes don't suit standard parcel couriers
- Size and weight. Most adult e-bikes weigh 20–30kg, and boxed they're often longer than the roughly 1.5m many parcel services accept.
- The battery. Lithium-ion e-bike batteries are classed as dangerous goods for transport, and many parcel networks restrict or refuse them.
- Packaging. A bike box, padding and a printed label is a job in itself. On most bookings, we wheel it straight into the van*.
- Value. A £2,000 e-bike on basic parcel cover is a gamble. Every Rydiqo® Delivery includes in-transit cover up to £10,000.
Getting your e-bike ready.
- Charge the battery partly, around 30–50% is ideal, and leave it fitted and locked if it locks in.
- Bag the charger, keys and any small accessories together so nothing goes missing.
- Remove anything you want to keep: bottles, bags, phone mounts, removable lights.
- Take dated photos of every side before collection.
- Add access notes (stairs, parking, gate codes) when you book.

Do I need to box my e-bike?
On most bookings, no. Our courier wheels it straight into the van and delivers it ready to ride. Just bag the charger and any small loose parts.
Can you deliver an e-bike I sold on Facebook Marketplace or eBay?
Yes. Rydiqo® Delivery is open to anyone, wherever the e-bike was bought or sold. Book online, pay at checkout and we handle collection and delivery.
Does the battery travel with the bike?
Yes. Leave it fitted and partly charged. A spare battery travels as its own booking.
How long does e-bike delivery take?
